After a 10th placed finish in the Newcastle & District League in 2017, the team were outstanding in 2018 to finish 3rd and claim the most improved performance from the previous year, plus they also secured promotion back into the 1st Division of the County Team Championships. In addition the team were one of only 2 teams to take 6 points off the 4 times champions The City of Newcastle in the league in 2018
