Wilkinson Salver

Congratulations to all who played today in our Men’s Club Championship qualifiers. Winner of the Wilkinson Salver for the first time is Andy Ross with scores of 70 & 75 for a 145 total, heading into the Match Play stages as top seed. Also heading through is; Dave Fawkes, Ian Henderson, Si Brennan, Michael Stenhouse, Anthony Bell, Steven Ashley & Nick Carter.

The second division qualification was also played over 18 holes and it was Brian Camp who came out on top in some pretty tough, blustery conditions with a Gross 82. Making it through to the Match Play stages are; Brian Camp, John Flanagan, Derek Williams, Alan Johnson, Rob Whatnell, John Wilson, Andy Robinson & Ken Smith.

Club champions endured all conditions in their finals this afternoon. Congratulations to John Flanagan second division victor over Ethan Allison on the 20th hole. Heartbreak for Dan Tolan on the 18th hole with a full 180 degree lip out that sealed a fantastic victory for new club champion Liam Ruffell. Well done to all who played today.

The Wilkinson salver was played over 36 holes in the sun, wind and rain. Huge congratulations to the winner Chris Newton who heads into the match play stages as top seed. Also qualified and through are Andrew Ross, Michael Wilson, Liam Ruffell, Simon Brennan, Dan Tolan, Alan Ross Jnr and Anth Furminger.
