Club Captain 2025 – Mr Mark Wilson
Dear Members,
I welcome you all to the club and let’s keep all the good work going both on and off the course. There has been a major ongoing investment in the course and the quality of the golf course is now proving to be exceptional and further improvement works are still planned for 2025.
We continue to invest in the repairs; management and maintenance of the clubhouse and some major issues have now been resolved and I hope you enjoy using the clubhouse and the restaurant to socialise and meet new and old faces.
I give a very special thanks to outgoing captain Lewis Carter for entrusting me to be his vice-captain and I thoroughly enjoyed my term as vice captain especially the Thursday night league matches. Everyone is welcome to attend and support the team players and witness some superb golf from the teams both home and away.
I am delighted to be assisted by Gus Lake as my trusty Vice-Captain this year and know that the club will be in excellent hands next year and into the future. He has been involved and helped with so much already in his VC term.
The committee is working tirelessly on the club; the quality of the course and its playing condition; new ideas and ventures and promoting for both new members and social events. There is a massive amount of time and commitment from all involved and the sub-committees. We have a great team that represents the committee and looks after your best interests as members.
A mention to Kris Bengtsson our PGA professional since 2014 and is available to offer advice to members and guests on suitable golf equipment and lessons having now taken on the responsibility of the pro shop. I hope you are able to support Kris and the shop with any requirements you may have and enjoy the restaurant and bar facilities.
I also am very pleased to work with Ladies Captain Vivienne Air and wish her and the ladies section the very best for a successful season.
There have been a number of new members who have recently joined or re-joined and it is good to see so many players on the course and in the clubhouse.
Best wishes to everyone and please feel free to make suggestions to myself, Gus and the committee members on any aspect of the course and the club.
Most importantly enjoy Arcot Hall
Mark Wilson.
