Two of our ladies, Helen Ballard and Lauren Smith have been chosen to represent Northumberland in the County Ladies Match Week to be held at Eaglescliffe, Co Durham
This event involves teams from each of the six northern counties, Northumberland, Durham, Yorkshire, Cumbria, Lancashire, Cheshire. Note, golf has not adapted to the latest county structure!
For Arcot Hall to have two representatives in a county team is a tremendous statement on the standard of the ladies' game at Arcot Hall. Well done girls!
Congratulations to Lauren Smith! | 9/6/2007
Lauren Smith, one of our junior girls, became Northumberland under 18 junior girls strokeplay champion at Whitley Bay on 30 May.
Arcot Girls | 7/5/2007
The Margaret Crofton trophy, played at Newbiggin, was won by our Grace Anderson (99 - 29 = 70) with our Lauren Smith in fourth (79 - 8 = 71). Both qualified for the Barlow Bowl knockout matchplay automatic draw. Lauren (current County Junior Girls Captain) beat Nikki Hunter of Gosforth 2& 1, and young Grace (only 13) beat Carolyn Smith of Close House 3&2 at Arcot. Both go forward to the semi-final, unfortunately drawn against each other. At least we are guaranteed to have one of our girls in the final.
Really well done, girls. A splendid performance from such a small girls section
